THE HIA COMP

The HIA Comp is a semester-long educational program designed for Harvard undergraduates seeking a rigorous introduction to investing and finance. Through a structured lecture series, participants develop a foundational understanding of financial markets, accounting principles, and valuation techniques.

The program is intentionally accessible to students with no prior finance experience, while remaining engaging and substantive for those with previous exposure. Following the lecture series, compers apply their learning in small teams through a stock pitch competition that emphasizes analytical thinking, collaboration, and real-world decision-making.​
